Years ago the Christmas cat was a  terrible monster. It is slightly better today and hasn’t eaten a child in many years.  Some say that it has turned vegan, yet it is safer to be careful in this area. You might even try and sing a song for the Christmas cats just in case.

Here below you can listen to our storyteller tell you about the Christmas cat, listen to the poem on the Christmas cat by Jóhannes úr Kötlum and hear Björk sing the song about the Christmas cat by Ingibjörg Þorbergs.

Súkkulaði, kókosolía og kakósmjör brætt yfir vatnsbaði. Allt hitt sett út í og hrært vel saman við. Sett á plötu með bökunarpappír og í frysti.

A friend of the Christmas Cat believes that they have turned vegan and she is planning on having delicious vegan candy ready when they come visit during the holidays. Would you like to try? You may find the recipe here.
